Mary Vertin is an accomplished communications consultant with over two decades of experience creating and executing high-profile public relations campaigns for the media, fashion/design, and entertainment industries. 

Mary is skilled at understanding her client’s objectives and developing strategies that achieve their communications goals. She has wide-ranging experience collaborating with major brands, platform events, andin individuals. With an extensive network of media relationships across business and lifestyle categories, Mary specializes in aptly identifying and connecting the appropriate reporters with compelling and relevant stories. She began her career in the Washington, DC office of Hill and Knowlton and has worked in-house at Condé Nast as the PR Director for GQ and head of the promotions/event team at Vogue. 

As a consultant, her client work includes: The New Yorker Festival (2008-present), duPont-Columbia Journalism Awards (2022, 2023), The Fashion Scholarship Fund, The Night of Solidarity to support survivors of domestic violence, The Fast Company Innovation Festival (NYC, LA), The Fast Company European Innovation Festival Powered by Gucci (Milan), The Teen Vogue Summit in NYC and LA, The Vulture Festival (NY and LA), Architectural Digest’s editorial events — the AD Greenroom at the Oscars, the AD Design Show and events during Art Basel Miami Beach), Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows in collaboration with Swarovski, The CFDA Awards, the artist Hunt Slonem, the International Medical Corps summer benefit, the Savannah College of Art and Design, and AmfAR’s “Cinema Against Aids” at the Cannes Film Festival.

Mary is a graduate of Indiana University with a double major in Journalism and English.
